Fatigue Monster
The BIG, BAD, Fatigue Monster has me again. After having injections in my hip I got a virus that made me so sick for 4 days, then the fatigue monster took over and I can’t seem to shake it. It has been a week since I first got sick with the virus and I am still so fatigued that I can barely get up much less STAY UP all day. I have been sleeping 12 to 16 hours at a time and then taking a nap during the day as well. I told my husband that I am so ready to get back to my “normal sick”. With my chronic illness I am in constant pain and fatigue with numerous other symptoms and when I get an illness on top of that it is almost more than I can take. I am even ready to get back to my “normal sick”. I told my husband that it is weird to want to get back to ONLY being chronically ill. Does that mean that I am ok with it or have accepted being chronically ill?? NO!!! I still don’t like it one bit and I still haven’t accepted it, but it is what I am used to since I have been chronically ill with Severe Fibromyalgia for over 10 years now. All I can say is the Fatigue Monster better watch out and go away soon or I will have my friends, family, and my fibro friends kick his butt!!

I am having a flare at the moment. I hear ya, give me back the normal fibro, I don’t need the extra pain and fatigue, enough is enough already.

I also suffer from CFS, and I’m not scare-mongering but as a retired RN, want to ask if you are aware of this:http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2012/10/05/meningitis-symptoms-steroid/1615299/
I live in one of the states where several cases of the meningitis have occured from these steroid injections. Note the symptoms and I pray none of what you are experiencing are secondary to the hip injections you had. God bless.

Hi Ginger, I am Hubert,
This is a link that will help you to sleep, It really works. I sought the Lord for help for a long time with Fibermyalgia, and It took two years before I listened when he started to draw me towards Brain Trauma, Fibermyalgia, I don’t remember how it happened but in that searching I found Binaural beats, this is the first one I listened to and its still the best I think, use headphones, and listen fairly loudly just before bed. I have had this disease since 8 years old I’m 53 now.
And I am so sick again today I just don’t know where to put myself. ‘Canadian saying’, I few moments ago I remembered my neurologist saying 10 years ago now, Hubert! Be careful what you do! People with Fibermyalgia do crazy things! Then I remembered seeing my Dad drink Sloans liniment mixed with milk in order to as he said warm himself up, At that time I was about 18, and he about 50 or so. So Yeah its the most monstrous disease out there, and the most lonely too I’m sure. Thanks for checking out my Blog God bless you Ginger. Oh, I have about 175 posts there and 3 or four on CFM Y/T Hubert
